**‘Chocolate Chip’ Ajuga grows easily among rocks and contrasts boldly with the trailing stems of the yellow creeping Jenny behind it. Both are deer resistant.**

One of my favorite groundcovers is ‘Chocolate Chip’ Ajuga (Ajuga x tenorii 'Valfredda' Chocolate Chip). Ajuga is commonly known as bugleweed. ‘Chocolate Chip’ is a refined variety that forms a dense carpet of glossy, chocolate-purple oval leaves.
