I have been a fulltime college instructor and I also taught at Columbia University for years as an adjunct professor. If I were to give a commencement address, I would start by quoting Simon Sinek: “Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress: Working hard for something we love is called passion.”
Here are my 10 items of advice for graduates:
