The plot of earth outside your door is an everyday conduit to the life that flows within plants, water, trees, sunlight, rocks, birds, and assorted creatures. John Muir, the 19th century naturalist explained it like this,
“when we look into any of Nature’s operations that lie within reach of our minds, we learn that no particle of her material is wasted or worn out. It is eternally flowing from use to use, beauty to yet higher beauty…”
In other words, life flows on in a kind of divine way.
