Anyone who has lost themselves to a daydream on a warm afternoon or loses 'track of time’ while raking dry crunchy leaves in a garden knows intuitively that time ebbs and flows.

We can lose time while snipping old hydrangea blooms or stretch it as we sip a cup of tea outdoors and marvel at the dance of clouds overhead. Time contracts and expands with our perception.
